THE BAND:
In 2001 Ed Howe and Bobby Berger were members of a band called April's Reign, playing regular gigs in the NYC club scene. Ed's love of Beatles music led him to form another band with Elliot Hurwitz and Al Sklar.
They called it No Mersey, a tribute to the Mersey beat that came out of Liverpool in the '60s.. After about a year, that band broke up but Ed and Bobby continued to play together. During that time, Zoe Veritas, a good friend of Bobby's, sat in with the band on vocals at a rehearsal and impressed everyone. A year passed and Ed, Elliot and Al decided to re-form the band.
They invited Bobby and Zoe to join them. Since then the re-formed No Mersey has evolved into a tight but fun-loving band playing mostly Beatles but also branching out into everything from classic rock to disco to pop.
